Yes, you can plug a TV and electric fireplace into the same outlet. Just be sure to use a power strip with surge protection so you don't overload the circuit.
Yes, electric fireplaces can heat a room. They work by using a heating element to generate heat, which is then circulated through the room by a fan. Electric fireplaces are an efficient way to heat a room and can be used as an alternative to traditional heating sources such as wood-burning fireplaces or space heaters.
It's not a good idea to leave your electric fireplace on all night. While electric fireplaces are generally safe, they can overheat and become a fire hazard. It's best to turn them off before going to bed or leaving the house.
You can hang a TV over an electric fireplace, but there are a few things to consider. The heat from the fireplace can cause the TV to overheat, so it's important to make sure the TV is properly ventilated. The fireplace can also cause the TV to glare, so it's important to position the TV so that the glare is minimized.

TWO HEAT SETTINGS: Perfect for the cold seasons, the Touchstone Sideline features two heat settings: high and low. Heat vents are located on the upper front area. The heat level can be adjusted according to the user’s preference, making this fireplace a functional and practical fixture. The fireplace can be turned all the way up in freezing weather to keep you snug and toasty. For slightly chilly weather, it can be set on low to provide ample warmth without getting too hot.
FAUX FIRE LOG AND GLASS CRYSTALS: This set includes faux fire logs and crystals to create an authentic feel. It operates on 1,500 watts, with a voltage of 120. This fireplace should be positioned at least 12 inches below the ceiling. Avoid mounting it directly under a flat-screen television, as that may limit the heater’s use.
DESIGNED FOR IN-WALL INSTALLATION: This electric fireplace is specially created for recessed mounting in walls. Recessed mounting is simple. Build a simple rough frame in your wall, move existing studs, then the right and left side have mounting brackets, which take 2 screws on each side. The 36-inch fireplace comes with easy-to-follow instructions to help homeowners install the unit on their own. Wiring can be hard-wired or plugged.
REALISTIC FLAME WITH FIVE SETTINGS: To create the cozy atmosphere of a traditional fireplace, this electronic unit emits authentic-looking flames that emulate a real fire. It has five flame settings that can radiate a soft ember glow or an intense blaze. With both its look and performance, Sideline gives you the total package. Both the heat and flame settings can be operated through a remote control. (Batteries are not included.)
MULTIPLE OPERATING MODES: Brightness settings that range from a dull ember glow to a full blazing light, allowing you to adjust the flames to your desired brilliance

FINALLY - Like the majority of people reading this, I did a lot of research before making my purchase. We are overjoyed to have found what we were seeking for in this place. Without the waste (wood), high installation costs (wood/gas), or ongoing operating costs (pellet/wood/gas), we wanted the appearance of a fireplace. For nine months out of the year, I won't use it for heating, but I can still get the aesthetic whenever I want. It is now definitely a focal point in my home. As I used to have to carry the wood in and stack it in the snow, start the fire, etc., starting it with a remote control is a wonderful benefit.HEAT / LOOK - On a lazy Sunday, when it may be on for up to 5 hours at a time, the high heat setting is sufficient to noticeably alter the atmosphere in the room. Imagine it as a small fan-equipped ceramic heater. Everyone who has seen it has praised the realistic appearance and mentioned that they could feel the heat in the room.REALISTIC - I reasoned that including a video would be especially beneficial to anyone unsure about the origin of the "realistic"-appearing fire. Before I started, this wall was just a regular wall. I made a frame for a fireplace, mantle, or hearth TV and then utilized stone and oak to give it the appearance I wanted. Added some images of the constructionInstalling it was simple if you are familiar with basic framing techniques, and building everything you see in the video with solid oak and high-quality stone only cost me about $1700. Included in that are a brand-new 20 amp dedicated line, a fireplace, building supplies, hardibacker, mortar, and stone. I'll be honest and say that I do have some wonderful tools to make it happen as well. If I had to install a wood or gas fireplace, it would easily cost me $8,000. If I had to hire someone to do it all, it would cost me about $12,000.

I purchased a PuraFlame Alice 50" recessed in-wall electric fireplace in black. It is designed to fit into a 6" wall recess. This is one of the key aspects that sets the PuraFlame Serena apart from the latter, which is fixed on the wall and cannot be recessed because of the way the air vents are constructed. I framed and built out the wall 6" instead of messing with removing and resupporting studs because the 50" model is too long to fit between conventional 16" studs, and it ended out pretty well. In general, I adore the Alice. The hot air is blown out of the center air vent, which has air inlets on the top left and right. If you desire warmth or just ambiance, it works with or without the hot air feature. The flames can be blue, orange, or a combination of the two hues. I do favor both hues since they evoke the feeling of a gas fireplace. To access the ornamental glass/crystal pebbles and the decorative logs, the front glass panel can be removed. Ceramic logs that can be assembled in any way are used. You can use the glass or crystals in place of or in addition to the logs at the bottom. The crystals, which are actually plastic, come in two sizes. The lights in the fireplace can be adjusted to a range of hues at the base of the flame. If the hue is changed to red or orange, it adds realism by reflecting the color and creating the image of red-hot embers on the crystals and logs. Additionally, if the blue light with the blue flame option is used, this looks cool. An excellent value overall. I spent $400 on Amazon and an additional $400 to frame and construct the wall, buy the ornamental 1x3" wood slats, and stain them. It would have cost $5,000 for a gas insert.

We purchased this heater in an effort to improve the usability of our fireplace. We have a wood-burning fireplace in our living room, but it serves just as decoration, and when we light a fire, it hardly warms the space. When we go to bed and leave the fireplace with hot coals, we also constantly worry that we'll burn down our house. We felt having this clever little gadget would be cool.1. Heater - This heater's infrared element seems to be rather strong, and it doesn't seem like it will have much trouble heating our 14 by 25-foot living area. It features a simple thermostat on the side, however it just has one setting. But let's be honest, you always set a space heater to High when you need heat, right?2. It has excellent decorative attributes and is well-made. The fake embers sporadically glow to simulate the burning of hot coal. To give the idea of flames on the fireplace's rear, LED lights glow from the back of it. Although not particularly intelligent, it is fairly compelling. I deducted one star since the motor that sometimes produces this effect generates such a strong vibration that it reverberates through the heater's body and produces a loud rattling sound. To prevent this resonance from happening, which might actually happen at any time, I had to fiddle with the heater. The cord is also too short to connect into an outlet unless it is one foot away from your fireplace. An extension cord was required. If not for it, I easily would have given it a 5-star rating. I absolutely appreciate that you only use the flame effects and leave the infrared heater on when it's warmer outside. It's good to have a fireplace that isn't completely inactive! Pictured below:When we really use the heat from it this winter, I'll update this evaluation.UPDATE, EDITThis thing is fantastic! We used it quite a bit during the winter, and it actually doesn't eat up much electricity. We had to go without a furnace for a week after our furnace died on Christmas Eve. This remained on for the majority of the week, maintaining a constant 70°F in our living room on its own. Although the heat is not particularly strong, it accomplishes its function. We are not sorry.

I live in the high desert of California, and this tiny heater, when left on for a day, can practically heat my three-bedroom home. I have central heating, but I frequently save money by turning on this tiny miracle instead of the more expensive gas heater. And without the hassle of a wood fire, it looks bright on a gloomy night or a soggy day.The device is somewhat portable and may be moved from room to room as needed thanks to its compact size and low weight. As long as it is approximately a foot away and not touching anything, I don't worry about it being next to furniture because only the front gets warm. The sides stay ice cold while the heat is fanned from the front at the bottom of the heater; the instructions, I believe, ask for something like a three-foot clearance, but you won't need it.In the winter, I might purchase a second unit for my bedroom. I've also given my neighbors who have high heating costs my recommendation.

This tiny electric heater/kettle is great. I just visited Vermont for a trip, and I adored the vintage stoves and cabins. Using this electric heater can help you stay warm and comfortable.PROS: - In comparison to other heaters I've owned, this one is fairly quiet.Heater is in my family room and does a great job keeping it warm and cozy. - Top, door, sides, and grill stay cool while heater is on. - Auto on/off to help regulate/maintain warmth without it running constantly. - Design is great — logs fire, grill, everything is really pretty in my home. - Heating element/box is located at the bottom of the heater. - My floors haven't gotten scorched or hot. I'd say the size of my family room is about normal.CONS - I've read a few reviews that mention problems with the screws and the plastic legs. To make sure that all the legs screw in precisely, I had to purchase a hand drill. It was just impossible to insert the screws uniformly and securely by hand; we strongly advise owning a power drill. I believe that heavy duty legs would have made me feel more "assured" owing to the proximity/location of the heating box/element, even though the rest of the product isn't necessarily heavy duty.

This tiny fireplace is very cute! It's been a champion for me for a week now. This is the ideal size for my small room as I live in an RV. It's in my bedroom so I can watch the flames as I drift off to sleep. White noise produced by the blower is soothing and reliable, making it a wonderful sleep aid. Its three settings are nice. A nice fire is one that is appealing to the eye, one that is low in heat, and one that is hot. For my RV's main cabin, I'm getting a second one. It will be placed next to my Santa Claus figurine to give my table a cheery holiday appearance. From the shelf over the bedroom fireplace, I'll hang stockings. I was concerned about the surfaces being heated because I have cats, but when the heater is on, only the front gets warm. Although they don't interfere with the fireplace, my cats enjoy dozing out in front of it.I've had this fireplace for a few months, and I really like it. Works well, quickly warms my bedroom, and the calming flame light makes for a perfect night's sleep. My pets also adore it. On the cabinet above it, I'll hang Christmas stockings.

First things first, it doesn't take long for this heater to warm up; my room was warm in a matter of minutes. It also need minor adjustments. Installing screws is somewhat challenging since you have to drill down into the metal of the furnace, which is mostly constructed of metal. To prevent movement, make sure all of the screws are in place. For a more realistic appearance, I also wish the light might be redder. Overall, I'm happy with this heater because it looks well and performs as expected.

Regarding this 26" version that I recessed into a wall, I really have no problems. When viewed from a distance, the flame pattern and flickering log set appear very realistic. The firebox is manufactured really well and is very durable, as stated in other reviews. I simply plugged it in and turned it on when I opened the box. If you are looking at the back of the machine, the white power cord is attached to the upper left side and measures around 5 feet in length. In my situation, I drilled a hole slightly bigger than the fire box's size in a wall and slid it in. The cutout was built immediately in front of a gap behind a wall that also happened to be below a landing for a stairway. I therefore had enough area for the unit to have at least 8 inches of depth.I left a gap of roughly 1.5 inches between the top of the unit and the top wall cutout. Please note that when the heat is turned up high, the top of the unit gets quite warm inside, therefore I'll be paying particular attention to heat buildup inside that wall. To stop heat from rising up the interior wall, I can always place a cement board strip. I'm lucky that this machine is located in my basement about 12 inches above the ceiling, so I ran a dedicated line and receptacle there before dropping the power wire through a hole in the floor. Wires are completely hidden. Remember that this is really a glorified space heater, so as long as there isn't too much on that circuit, plugging into a neighboring outlet should be fine. Using an extension cord for any electrical heat is never a smart idea due to resistance and voltage decrease over length.Unless you drill visible holes in the front of the frame, the unit just glides in and there is no need to secure the frame to the wall. Even though the unit's weight holds it firmly in place inside the wall, I might construct a shelf to allow the back bottom surface to rest. There is no lip on the bottom; there is a 1 inch lip on the top, left, and right sides. If necessary for any reason, I can very easily pull the unit forward from the top and remove it from the cut out, but as long as the unit functions properly, I might just caulk the bottom edge and leave it alone. The unit's upper left side is where heat is emitted, and the fan is incredibly silent on high, like the sound of forced air blowing through computer fans or quiet room vents. There are three sizable windows in the room, each with a lounge chair in front of it, and the room is roughly 13 by 9 with a ceiling height of around 9 feet. For additional regular heating, there are two long baseboards with forced hot water. We are hoping that this will assist because the windows in this room, which are around 10 years old, draft on very cold days (when highs are in the 20s F). If this unit was the only one utilized, I don't think the room would be heated very effectively. In fact, the heat output left me a little underwhelmed, but a higher powerful fan would have generated more noise. So, we'll see how it turns out. In spite of this, standing in front of the heater just after coming inside from being outside will help you warm up more rapidly.

I originally bought this for my fiancé to use as a TV console for our 55" Samsung and as an extra heater for our apartment. One of the best purchases I've ever made on Amazon was this one. At this price point, the quality is fantastic, and it really stands out as the focal point of our living area. When we have guests around and they ask where we got it from, it typically sparks a conversation.I must admit that at first I was a little dubious about the fireplace's heating feature. But I was totally mistaken. The heater is effective and economical with energy. In fact, we barely used the heater in our apartment last winter, running this plus a tiny bedroom heater to comfortably heat 1400 square feet. The product's initial construction is its sole drawback. To be fair, I wasn't using a screw gun, but I estimate that the whole thing took me around two to three hours to construct.Consider giving this product a try if you're seeking for a heater that may double as a beautiful piece of furniture in your home. It was more than worth the cost, and both my husband and I have truly appreciated having it in our apartment.

This product is excellent. It enhances the atmosphere in the space and has a respectable heat output. If you only want the aesthetic, you can have it turned in without the heat or blower, which is wonderful. The only thing I can fault is the display, which makes the fire appear unrealistic. It stands out because there is no way to turn it off and it is rather bright. However, it's not a deal-breaker. Since we received it a few weeks ago, I have used it virtually every night since I genuinely adore it. Without a doubt, I'd suggest this item.
Electric fireplaces are a great way to heat your home without using a lot of energy. They use less energy than traditional fireplaces, and they don't produce any emissions. Electric fireplaces are also very safe, since there is no open flame.

If you have a large living room, you'll need a bigger fireplace. - The height of your ceilings: If you have high ceilings, you'll want a taller fireplace. - The style of your home: If you have a modern home, you'll want
