There is no definitive answer when it comes to choosing between 8x or 10x binoculars. Both have their pros and cons. 8x binoculars offer a wider field of view, which is ideal for tracking moving objects or scanning an area. 10x binoculars provide a closer view, making them better for observing details at a distance. Ultimately, it depends on what you plan to use your binoculars for.
Yes, expensive binoculars make a difference. They have better optics and allow you to see things in greater detail. They also tend to be more durable and have better features.
There are a lot of things to consider when purchasing a pair of binoculars. Some things you may want to keep in mind are: what you will be using them for, the quality of the optics, the weight and size of the binoculars, and your budget. If you plan on using your binoculars for bird watching, you will want to make sure you get a pair with good quality optics. The better the optics, the sharper and clearer the image will be. You will also want to make sure the binoculars are not too heavy or bulky,

These are better than I expected for the price; I bought them for backyard birdwatching. Through them, colours appear vibrant and are sharply focused. My phone works perfectly with the mount I bought to snap shots through them. They haven't been put to use for extremely far-off viewing yet. If I update, that is.

I'm having so much fun with these tiny binoculars. They are fantastic for attending athletic events, concerts, and wildlife viewing in my garden and the nearby forests. I also have a pair of excellent larger Nikon Prostaff 7S 10X42s that you hardly notice are on your neck. My purchase was motivated by their compact size and my desire to be able to carry them effortlessly while hiking or engaging in other outdoor activities. They also come with a convenient neck strap and travel bag. With enough light, the optics are excellent—you can see clearly and they focus beautifully—but my larger set falls short. But for the vast majority of uses for which you would use binoculars, they are fine. It's crucial to realize that any pair of binoculars this large, not just these ones, won't let in enough light to allow you to see clearly in low light.

Last year, I spent around $135 on a pair of Redfield Rebel 10x50 binoculars. For the money, I will say that they are a great set of binoculars, and I always received praises wearing them. Since I spend a lot of time on my feet, I really wanted something a little lighter weight this year. Any weight I could lose off of my neck and back would be greatly appreciated. I struggled to decide between these and the Leupold BX-2 Acadias. I was initially leaning in that route because I own Leupold Scopes and range finders, but unhappily (or not? ), hunting season had already begun. Moreover, Amazon did not provide Prime on the 10x42-inch tires for the BX-2, so I made the difficult decision to buy these brand-new 2016 Model Diamondbacks. As of now, I adore them completely! Although they are light, they don't feel "cheap." They outperform my Redfields (please notice that they are now a Leupold Company) by a little margin in terms of hand comfort and glass quality! The illumination quality, which is quite clear and bright, is one thing that really stood out in comparison to my old pair! especially when there is less light! I was awestruck to the max. In comparison to many other "pouch type" carrying cases from other manufacturers, the carrying case it comes with is fantastic. Overall, I'm quite happy with this pair of binoculars, especially considering the price! I really would have liked to compare the BX-2 and Diamond side by side, but our neighborhood Cabela's was sold out of both in the 10x42 size. But I can tell that I heartily endorse these! The brightness and clarity of the image stunned my two brother-in-laws and my father-in-law when they saw it this past weekend while we were out. enough for me, then!REVISED 11/3/2016I visited Cabela's today since they now have Leupold BX2 and Vortex Diamondback 10x42 scopes in stock. Glass quality was close when compared side by side, however I would almost pick the Diamondbacks because to their superior "sharp image" quality. But it's really too late to call, especially at a store. The 10x42 Leupold BX-2s were significantly heavier than they were, which I consider to be a disadvantage. They also felt much bigger overall. Compared to the BX-2s, the Diamondbacks feel much more comfortable in the hand. All the while, depending on the current market price, the Diamondbacks are $30 to $40 less expensive. I'm going with Vortex on this one.Revision: 5/26/2019Recently purchased a set of Leupold BX-4 Pro Guide HD scopes for an unbeatable price. The Diamondbacks are still an insanely amazing pair of binoculars, especially for the price tag, even though edge to edge clarity and low light circumstances are noticeably better. This past 2018 Elk season, I was also fortunate to try a pair of Vortex Viper HDs, and they, too, were a definite improvement over the Diamondbacks. Overall, I anticipate that this will be the final time I update this review. The Diamondbacks, which aren't THAT much behind the curve when compared to the $600-1000 sets, are perhaps the best bang for your buck binoculars available. If using the Vortex Diamondbacks to locate animals in the field doesn't work, you're using them incorrectly.

These were on sale for Prime Day, so I purchased them to bring to South Padre Island for up-close views of gulls and shorebirds on the beach as well as for watching from the beach to the wave surface. We both take birding fairly seriously, and we have a large collection of spotting scopes and binoculars with slightly better quality glass and stronger magnification. I didn't really think of these as being particularly reliable optics; rather, I saw them as a cheap backup pair for the beach. We had been around for about 30 minutes, making friends with seagulls, and taking pictures with our phones. The more I used these little binoculars, the more I liked them. They were small but sturdy, felt good in my hands (love the rubberized coating! ), and had excellent edge to edge image quality. My husband, who has type 1 diabetes, appeared content as he sat in a beach chair along the water's edge and occasionally slept off. His beach chair slid further and further into the sand as the low waves closed in around him, and I saw that he was doing nothing to free himself. At that point, I realized he was already unresponsive and that his blood sugar had plummeted. I had to pull his beach chair out of the sand, get him up onto his feet and out of the water, gather up our belongings, and find him something to eat right away before I had to call 911. I dropped the binoculars into the edge of the surf during the commotion, and by the time I was able to retrieve them, my husband and I were completely covered in sand and dripping wet. I shook the binoculars off, but my main concerns were getting my husband out of his depression and having a handle on the pile of equipment I would have to carry, which included both of our telephones, the bulky beach chairs, and damp towels. Fortunately, a woman who was passing by came to our aid and assisted me in getting him up and moving toward the staircase and shower at the beach exit. To my astonishment, after receiving some crackers from her buddy, he perked up enough to leave the danger area. When we got to the shower, I hurriedly rinsed out the binoculars along with the rest of our belongings. I believed they were irreparably damaged. He still has no memory of anything at all, acting as like it never even happened, even after I gave him some food and glucose. These binoculars also fit that description! They were as good as new after drying and I removed the remaining sand; there was no fog, no misaligned focus wheel or gears, and no scratches on the lenses. They are a terrific little set of strong, practical, WATERPROOF, binoculars, but I would have given them up for my husband's medical situation. 5 out of 5 easy!

When I first opened the box and started using the binoculars, I was pleased with how well-balanced, hand-attached the ends were, and how the eye relief cups could be adjusted to accommodate spectacles or no glasses. They arrived with a neck strap and carry bag. A lifetime, transferable warranty is also included! As long as you can mail the item back after breaking it, they will be fixed.I'm overjoyed with the price, and for around $130, they feel like a much more expensive pair of vortex binoculars. They need very little tweaking; they simply FEEL wonderful to look through. The view is best in strong light, during the middle of the day, and at dusk, though I do start to lose out on fine details after sundown, which is to be expected with an 8x32 magnification, I can still see well over 600 yards. Against a chosen bean field, corn field, and red prairie grass, I can easily make out the sheen of a rack on a buck or focus on the many hues of coat and hair color on the does and bucks. We have a lot of hills and draws, so I enjoy scouting them out and planning where to set up my blind for rifle season. I also look forward to opening morning so that I can start looking for my deer as soon as it's light enough. In conclusion, get these Vortex binoculars! They outperformed Bushnell and Leupold (even at a higher zoom!) You'll wonder how you managed to score such a fantastic pair of binoculars at such a reasonable price, and Ladies These binoculars are the perfect gift for your husband or boyfriend if you're seeking for something to wow him. They won't drain your money account, either.

I've been wanting a pair of binoculars for a while, but I always imagined carrying about something so large and cumbersome. I came upon this pair and a different pair that seemed comparable somehow. I chose this pair after reading the many positive reviews others had written, and I'm really happy with them.I'm grateful for the directions that came with them because without them, I might not have known how to focus them correctly. They are the perfect size for my rather small face, with a good soft case, and a carry strap. I can't wait to bring them along on vacation so we can observe birds at home and spot dolfins from the beach. I am impressed by how sharply they focus and how far away they are as well. An excellent deal for a superb set of binoculars!Updated on September 27, 2018 - Still a top pick. These are always being used by my hubby. Every time, I want to grab them back! In our household, the close call of a disagreement over a purchase is a true indication of a good one. If you're debating, acquire some!

My 30-year-old Nikon 10x25 binocular, which had always provided a perfect image until it unexpectedly slipped out of alignment, needed to be replaced. My first buy was a 12x42 roof prism type, which disappointed me because the Nikon's optics were better. This is my second purchase. I was concerned that there would not be anything comparable to the Nikon at a fair price. I can now state that the Occer is an almost perfect replacement for the Nikon, despite the fact that my eyesight isn't as good as it was thirty years ago. The focus wheel is light, and the image is really sharp. There is no eye fatigue, proving that collimation and alignment are proper. Ignore the notion that these binoculars have low-light night vision; none of them do.Instead of the roof prism designs utilized in the straight-line variants, this binocular uses the traditional porro prism (offset) design. The two prism designs are thoroughly detailed in an outstanding article about binoculars that can be found on Wikipedia. The article discusses the constraints and complexity of the roof prism, which may be responsible for some of the shortcomings in my initial purchase, therefore my advice is to stay away from inexpensive roof prism binoculars. Despite being composed of plastic, the Occer's body feels sturdy and well-built. The durability rating is merely a guess on my part, but with care it should outlive me. I wasn't really prepared to find a pair of binoculars this amazing at such a low cost.

excellent glasses I brought these along when I went to see the animals up close at the Lincoln Park Zoo. I can see every detail and they are not too heavy. I'm astonished by the quality. These binoculars feature an excellent field of view, a solidly built body, and can be focused pretty sharply. I enjoy how little and lightweight they are while still being quite handy. Another great feature is that these may be adjusted to be worn with or without glasses. The front caps fit tightly. You can easily remove the lens cap from the end of the glasses because it has a lovely ring that keeps it attached to the frames. The other cap consists of a single piece with a flexible bar sandwiched between the two caps. They are packaged with a case, a strap, and an amusing smartphone holder. This smartphone accessory also performs admirably. It's wonderful for taking pictures or for simply setting up the equipment and using the phone to view the animals. It is made of strong, resilient, and adjustable material. Fits my iPhone XS, Otter Box Traction Case included or not.The price was well worth it, in my opinion. I'm quite happy with my buy.

What else is there to say but that these binoculars are revolutionary? There are no cheap parts in these; they are strong and very nicely crafted. Unbelievable focus and other accessories are included, as well as a cushioned carrying case. You won't be let down!
Binoculars with a 10x50 magnification can provide a clear image from about 1000 yards away. This is under optimal conditions though, so in reality you may only get a clear image from half that distance.
The 12x25 binoculars have a field of view of 1000 yards and the exit pupil is 2.1 millimeters. This means that they can be used to see objects that are far away.
Binoculars with an 8x magnification and 30 mm objective lenses are powerful enough to provide a clear image of distant objects, but how far away those objects appear depends on a number of factors. In ideal conditions—good light, no atmospheric interference, etc.—you can expect to see objects that are about 4,000 meters (4 kilometers, or 2.5 miles) away clearly. However, real-world conditions are seldom ideal, so your actual range may be somewhat less.
The binoculars that the military uses are some of the most powerful and sophisticated binoculars in the world. They are designed to be used in a variety of different situations and environments, and they are able to withstand a lot of wear and tear. The binoculars that the military uses are also very lightweight and compact, so they can be easily carried around on the battlefield.
